Carolina Back Institute

I started seeing Dr. Duncan in June of last year. I had nine Prolotherapy injections (in the back) and for the first time in five years I am completely off narcotics. I have also had a total left knee replacement and was told that I would have to have the right knee replaced. I tried Prolotherapy injections in the right knee and it is now as good as the left. I now have a bulging disk (in the neck) with an accompanying headache. I tried two Prolotherapy injections and received noticeable improvement in my neck and headache. Dr. Duncan is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors that I have ever seen. Her ability as a prolotherapist has improved my life unbelievably. Her nurse is also a very special person. She seems to know just what to say and when to say it.

Thank you Dr. Godbout! After several of your treatments, I finally feel "human" again! The cervical ablation "kicked in" in full and I feel no pain in the back or shoulder! Also, the bursa injection was like a miracle. I have been in excruciating pain for the past 3 1/2 years. The first time I met you for my first injection, I knew you were a wise Doctor and perfectionist. I appreciate you're trying to help me and your honesty!

Catherine Santello, PA-C is always wonderful, she listens to what you are saying, always gives you an answer to whatever it is. I've never had a more caring, sensitive, professional or one that understands the problems with my body more than Catherine. Thank you!

I had a serious back injury in June 2010 that put my life in jeopardy! I could have lost my job, my home & my way of life with severe stress and strain on my family. Thanks to the amazing TEAM that Carolina Back Institute is, I am back to work & back to good health. I suffered an extrusion of L3 & Herniation/Bulging of L3-L4 & L4-L5. Dr. Gwinn is Board Certified in Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He performed the EMG which confirmed the necessary treatments. From Medical/Clinical Staff (X-Ray Techs, MA's, Nurses, Doctors/PA's/& Physical Therapists) to billing, arranging tests needed at other facilities, CBI-Cary and N Raleigh GOT ME BACK TO HEALTH!

My wife has been seeing the doctors at Carolina Back Institute for several years with excellent results. When I began having back problems, my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Godbout. He performed ablation on my lower back on the right side. The procedure was almost totally pain free and when I got up after the ablation was done I had absolutely no pain on my right side and it has continued that way. Due to the absence of pain on my right side I feel like I am 40 again (I'm 72) and act like it. I have routinely been able to be up and active 10 hours a day. Dr. Godbout and his staff are willing to listen to you as a person. My wife has been to 5 pain clinics and doctors there are willing to try a couple of things and once that does not work narcotics are the next step. This does not happen at Carolina Back. They will find something that will at least help. Thank you Dr. Godbout for giving both my wife and myself a chance to enjoy life and do some of the things that we had planned to do in our golden years.
